In the quiet night I wake to the beat of my heart
Tangled in satin I listen to the dark
The stillness defeats me completely, surprised?
I cast my mind back in the dark to her eyes
dark pools of liquid that gleamed in the night
soft warm and dazzling reflecting the light
I could feel myself sinking in pools much too deep
I could feel myself reaching out in my sleep
It was a moment, a memory sweet
Awakened once more from a slumber so deep
Tangled up limbs and soft satin thighs
Why am I drifting remembering eyes?
Her smile was easy, hesitant, wide
But her eyes could defeat me and dreaming I die
soft skin caresses and the hard rhythm beats
strange how the night fills these moments with heat
My heartbeat is pounding my mind running wild
Tangled in satin the shadows growing mild
Awoke from a slumber so peaceful I weep
Strange how a moment can hold me from sleep.

wasting time
Is it too much to ask for someone to love
A heart so great they accept you
Is it too much to ask for someone to trust
A mind so great you can talk to.
Just another night wasting time wasting words.
Never enough time to share your world.
Just another night exchanging words without meaning
Never enough to say when you're feeling like a riot.
Is it too much to ask for someone who cares
A heart so great they expect you
Is it to much to ask for someone who loves
A touch so sweet you could dance to?
The world moves on in a twist of the sky
Stars falling down as you laugh and cry
Just another daydream of a moment in time
Just another kiss to wake you to life
Is it too much to ask for someone who dares
A heart so great the accept you
Is it too much to ask for someone who shares
Even if they task you?
A heart so great they accept you
Is it too much to ask for someone to trust
A mind so great you can talk to.
Just another night wasting time wasting words.

wandering
I'm walking in the evening feel the starlight in my hair
I'm feeling like believing that I just do not care
I'm wondering about my life and how to make a stand
I'm walking in the evening in a strange and foreign land.
The sun has sunk below the sky a strange and foreign sight
It creates these dancing shadows that echo in the night
The clouds are coming nearer I feel them on my skin
I think I might be flying or am I just a sin?
The water reaches out, to take me in it's grasp
Just a little solitude, is that too much to ask?
I'm floating on my back and staring at the sky
Asking silly questions like who am I or why?
I'm walking in the evening feel the starlight on my skin
I'm feeling like believing that it's just the day I'm in
I'm wondering about my life as I try to understand
As I wander through the evening in a strange and foreign land.
I'm feeling like believing that I just do not care
I'm wondering about my life and how to make a stand

moments
I find myself missing the moments
watching the rain come down
heartache and heartbreak please wash them away
and I like a rock shall wear down
sunlight awakens me as one single ray
shines gently down on my face
like a kiss I can feel it carress me
feel my heart shiver and race
Suddenly I'm feeling like dancing
I raise my voice to the sky
but the rain soon returns leaving me standing
drowned and unable to fly
my fingertips tremble aching with need
long spent unspoken unable to grieve
a lovers soft touch unasked or unaided
the rain soaks my skin as I stand up to leave.
